The chains included in our subscription boxes are primarily made from:

• 14K PVD gold  304 stainless steel
• 304 stainless steel
• Select designs made with 14K PVD gold over 316 surgical-grade stainless steel
• Select silver designs made from 316 surgical-grade stainless steel

Our gold chains are finished using Physical Vapor Deposition, or PVD. During this advanced process, the gold-colored finish is bonded to the stainless steel inside a vacuum chamber. PVD is significantly more durable than traditional flash plating and is designed to provide lasting color, shine, and resistance to everyday tarnishing and fading.

Stainless steel provides a strong, durable, and low-maintenance foundation that is ideal for permanent jewelry. Because each monthly box is curated and designs vary, subscribers may receive a combination of 304 stainless steel and 316 surgical-grade stainless steel chains.
